Quit Hiding Behind Text Messages.

Yes, I said hiding.

Texting is like the internet. It’s easy to sit behind a keyboard and spout off about anything. Typing makes people brave.

Most people will say things on a message board, that is basically anonymous, that you know they wouldn’t say face to face.

It’s easy to read a self-help book and say that you have grown and learned from it. But you don’t really learn anything by reading about it. You have to go out into the world and practice. Actually apply what you have “learned” before you can truly learn and grow.

The people that you have relationships with are the same people that will help you grow the most in your life. It’s difficult to talk to somebody face to face when there is an issue that needs to be dealt with.

That’s why texting is so popular. I know a girl that has ended three relationships via text. Why? Because it’s easier.

Texting is too easy. And too easy to misunderstand.

Texting is an easy way to connect but it should really only be used to transfer information. Not communication.

The difference is like this.

“pick up a loaf of bread on your way home.” That’s information.

I don't know what I'm talking about, but if you think about it you really don't either. I write about lessons learned through my life. dougheron@outlook.com
